My New Favorite Song

My new favorite song is Everlasting Love by Rex Smith and Rachel Sweet. This track has "Love Boat" written all over it. It is dripping in gold lame and big fluffy headbands, and as I listened, cheeze fumes came puffing out of my stereo. Made sometime in the late 80's, this song features Rex Smith, (a very hot 80's pinup one rung above Adrien Zmed,) and smokey contralto Rachel Sweet, a dykey-tykey Quinn Cummings ripoff who was barely old enough to shave her legs at the time. Everlasting Love is a tribute to the bygone Reagan Era. An example of what happens when you place two singers at the mic, blitzed off their asses with Cocaine and lots of drum machines.

The vocals are frightening, abusive and utterly tasteless. The chorus keeps ringing in my ears over and over again, like a chainsaw. A cute guy and a little girl can't produce such a ferocious vocal without cocaine injections directly into the vocal chords, and that's why I LOVE THIS SONG. I know all about Hollywood, baby.
