A bitch, some pigeons, and Simon.

My commercial has been airing again. This will pay my rent for the next 4 months, and I am happy. I went on an audition today and have a callback tomorrow, so that will hopefully pay for my food for the next month.

My Mom wanted to be an actress or something, but it isn't as though she'd share this info with anybody, so I can only speculate. Today, she returned the three messages I had left over the last month. She told me that she thought my eyebrows looked strange in the commercial, my voice wasn't deep enough and it sounded like I had a lisp. I told her that nobody who was producing the commercial (presumably, people with well honed ears) detected a lisp, so I wasn't going to sweat it. Next, she asked me why I call my Grandparents more than I call her.

All of this made me angry, so I told her that my cellphone might cut out because I was in a cab, hung up on her, and met up with Simon in Washington Square Park, where we fed the pigeons. He knew I was feeling sad.
