Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill
Last week, at Bristol Farms, I ran into Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill while I was waiting in line to pay for some items. She was minding her business, but I couldn't help but compliment her on her work in the 1979 musical 'They're Playing Our Song." I also asked her if it was her husband who played in the movie "The Boys In The Band," but she was obviously uncomfortable and not interested in chit chat, so I dropped it, turned my back and began to ignore her in order to make her feel more comfortable, and it worked, but I felt a little stupid afterwards.

your blog is a big bore- go back to new york...Lucy should have told you to shut the fuck up and shop....
Theodore, I hope you learned a lesson. Famous people do not like being approached when they are trying to do regular things like grocery shopping.
She's a strange bird. She sure was gawd-awful in that show. Bopping all over onstage like some wannabe Helen Reddy and besides that, it was a really annoying show.
I have no idea who any of these people even are.
Yah well she is real abscure, she should be happy someone recognized her at all!
You sure tell some really funny stories Theo!!
I hardly think the daughter of the legendary Ms. Lucille Ball would ever appreciate and/or deserve the description of abscure! Her mother was pure comic genius, and the legend lives on and on! Learn some respect for art and artists!
Perhaps if you had complimented her on her performance in Eric Schaeffer's production of "The Witches of Eastwick," she might have been interested in continuing the conversation.
Still, I have to agree that, as a rule, it's better not to approach celebrities in public places unless they're there to promote themselves or their work. Ambushing someone in the produce section is poor etiquette.
LOL. GOD FORBID LUCILLE BALL GETS INSULTED IN FRONT OF A GAY MAN!! Butch it up, Etiquette Queens. Truly yours, Ed Retch.
